Cabin for Rent - "Pecos Place" Pecos Place is available as a short term rental. Conveniently located along State Road 63, 47 miles from the Palace of the Governors in down town Santa Fe and 1 mile south of Tererro, New Mexico. This home is along the upper Pecos River. The Pecos Place has two large bedrooms, with queen size beds in each. Accessible from the master bedroom is a large wooden deck with picnic table and chairs ideal for lounging. It also has two bathrooms with showers, a sitting room with a kiva fireplace, and a combination kitchen/dinning and living room. The house is heated by electric baseboards supplemented with an air tight wood stove. Washer, Dryer, Oven, Microwave, and Refridgerator are in the Pecos Place. The cabin is currently completely furnished. In addition the Pecos Place is fenced in to accommodate dogs and is further separated from a fenced 3 acre pasture for horses. The Pecos Place is located within the Santa Fe National Forest and is less than 5 miles from the edge of the Pecos Wilderness. The Wilderness encompasses approximately 230,000 acres, which in turn is surrounded by approximately 300,000 acres of national forest. Pecos Place is ideally located near numerous scenic forest roads and hiking trails. Some of the best trout fishing abounds within the Pecos River Wild and Scenic River Corridor which starts a half mile above the cabin. At an elevation of approximately 7500 feet, summer temperatures vary from 40 to 70 degrees with warm days and cool nights . Rental rates: Comprised of 6 days, Tuesday through Sunday at $800. for the duration. A $75. cleaning fee and $400 nonrefundable deposit is required two weeks in advance, with the balance due upon arrival. The Pecos Place will accommodate 4 people.
